The credits chosen by the student can be obtained as follows:
a) through exams relating to subjects activated at the University, independently chosen by the student.
b) through participation in seminars, conferences, conventions, cinematographic or theatrical activities, study trips, guided visits, sports activities, etc.; such initiatives must be organized by professors and/or by University structures or, in any case, recognized by the latter.
c) through a combination of a) and b).
The initiatives promoted by the University will be validated by the Course of Study Council, upon presentation of a request for recognition by the student, with the attribution of CFU in the amount decided by the Collegiate Bodies.
Only the activities carried out during the period of university enrollment can be evaluated, without prejudice to the possible recognition of exams taken in a previous university career.
The attribution of CFU for the activities referred to in letter b) will be made according to criteria that take into account that the overall commitment of the student must respect the proportion of 25 hours for 1 CFU = 1 ECTS.
Students of the Master's Degree in Quantitative Methods for Economics and Finance may request to take subjects taught at the university as elective subjects whose credit sums are equal to those provided for in the relevant study plans for the optional subjects. Students may also choose subjects whose credit sums are higher than the amount indicated above, but in such cases, to calculate the average grade for the degree, only 120 CFU must be considered. In such cases, only the number of credits provided for in the study plan, necessary for completing the individual training courses, will contribute to the calculation of the average grade for the degree. The weighted average grade of the free choice subjects will then be calculated, the sum of which exceeds the CFUs foreseen in the study plan, and this grade (rounded up or down to the nearest whole number) will be included in the calculation of the final average with a weight equal to the CFUs of the free choice subjects foreseen in the study plan.
